Mellita Kimber
Mellita is Consumer Adviser Officer at the Royal Adelaide Hospital As well as assisting the Office of the Guardian, she serves on the Council for the Care of Children and on the Board of the Dame Roma Mitchell Trust Fund.
David Wilkins
David assists the Office on a part time basis. He is currently works for the Commonwealth Government.
Sara Bann
Sara had already proved invaluable in her work on the being in care comic prior to becoming a Youth Advisor. She combines the experience of being in a variety of care placements with some time spent working in a Families SA district centre which has given her deeper undestanding of the issues facing young people in the care system. She is currently working for the SA Government.
Benita Brinkworth
Benita has been under guardianship since she was eight years old. She joins us after a long association with CREATE including completing the Mission:Be program. She is particularly interested in the arts including photography, music and drawing. Benita likes to travel and hopes to practice her Spanish by going to Spain in the next year.
Thomas Manning
After a period of involvement with CREATE and YACSA, Thomas now volunteers for World Vision and Meals on Wheels. Starting at Adelaide University in 2011, he will major in English and Economics and possibly migrating to Law in the future. Thomas came into guardianship at age 12 and has had several placements including a period of living independently. He enjoys sailing, reading and drinking Earl Grey tea.
