What is good residential care for Aboriginal young people?

Around 30 per cent of children and young people in care identify as Aboriginal and the issue of what is the best care for those not able to be placed in family-based care is yet to be fully addressed.

Early in 2015, the Guardian commissioned a review of the literature which provides some strong indicators of good residential care that supports the identity, links to family and culture and general wellbeing of Aboriginal young people.  The literature review is available for download.
